Sales tax | US guests
Resortifi collects and pays sales tax in some US states. If you’re traveling outside of the US, learn about QST in Quebec and VAT collection in the UK.
Tax collection
Hosts are responsible for determining tax requirements in their jurisdiction. Unless a host’s vehicle listing indicates otherwise, you can safely assume that the price you see listed is inclusive of any tax the host is required to pay.
Resortifi collects and pays sales tax based on current peer-to-peer, marketplace facilitator, and economic nexus laws. In some states, Resortifi may need to collect sales tax on tolls or fees.
As tax laws change, Resortifi may be required to collect tax in the states listed below. If that happens, we’ll collect sales tax on all new trips in those locations and may apply sales tax to trip extensions. If you change a booked trip and see a sales tax charge, contact us to see if we can refund the sales tax.
