Security deposits​

Resortifi’s system automatically charges a security deposit based on vehicle type, country where your trip originates, and other factors of your booked trip.

Security deposit costs

Whether Resortifi’s system will apply a security deposit to your booked trip and the amount of that deposit depends on the vehicle type, country where your trip originates, and other factors. We’ll display the cost of a security deposit on the checkout page before you book and process the deposit as a separate transaction. Deposits for trips in the United States

  • $750 deposit required for guests under the age of 30 who book Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 25 or older to book
  • $750 deposit required for all guests who book Super Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 30 or older to book
  • $200 deposit required if our security system chooses your trip for a deposit

Note: You can submit your personal insurance information when prompted at the time of booking to get a $250 discount on your deposit; Resortifi can’t add this information once you book.

Deposits for trips in Australia

  • A$500 deposit required for guests under the age of 30 who book Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 25 or older to book
  • A$500 deposit required for all guests who book Super Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 30 or older to book

Note: Submit your personal insurance information when prompted at the time of booking to get a A$250 discount on your deposit; Resortifi can’t add this information once you book.

Deposits for trips in Canada

  • CA$1,500 deposit required for guests under the age of 30 who book Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 25 or older to book
  • CA$1,500 deposit required for all guests who book Super Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 30 or older to book

Deposits for trips in France

Residents of France or a Member State of the European Union

  • 400 € deposit required; guests must have held a valid driving licence for seven years or more to book a Deluxe Class vehicle
  • 600 € deposit required; guests must have held a valid driving licence for 12 years or more to book a Super Deluxe Class or specialty vehicle

Residents of all other countries

  • 400 € deposit required; guests must be 25 or older to book a Deluxe Class vehicle
  • 600 € deposit required; guests must be 30 or older to book a Super Deluxe Class or specialty vehicle

Deposits for trips in the United Kingdom

  • £500 deposit required for all guests who book Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 25 or older to book
  • £1,000 deposit required for all guests who book Super Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 30 or older to book
  • £1,000 deposit required for guests who book a trip to travel in the EU from the UK
  • £250 deposit required if our security system chooses your trip for a deposit

Security deposit refunds

We’ll automatically refund your security deposit 80 hours after your trip ends if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • the host hasn’t reported any vehicle damage;
  • you’ve paid any eligible reimbursement invoices; and
  • you weren’t responsible for roadside service charges in France or the EU on a trip originating in France or the UK.

Note: Once we initiate your refund, your bank or credit card company processes it according to their own timeline.
