About Quebec sales tax

  • Resortifi is required to collect Quebec Sales Tax (QST) on Quebec residents booking a trip in any Canadian province
  • Resortifi isn’t required to collect QST from Quebec residents who book a trip outside of Canada nor from residents of other provinces

QST calculation and display

  • QST is calculated at 9.975% and collected on the trip fee, protection plan, and certain administrative and processing fees
  • QST isn’t applied to the Trip cost (vehicle’s price per day multiplied by the trip length)
  • QST is displayed as separate line item on checkout screen

QST refunds

  • We’ll refund all or a percentage of the tax depending on when you cancel as per our Cancellation policy
  • We’ll refund the tax applied to the Trip fee if you cancel within one hour of the trip being accepted
  • We’ll refund the tax applied to the protection plan if you cancel before the trip start time
