Gray market transaction policy | Guests

This policy addresses guidelines regarding money you pay your host or your host pays you outside the Resortifi platform.

Policy

Resortifi prohibits hosts and guests from requesting, accepting, or making payments outside of Resortifi. The type of transactions Resortifi is unable to guarantee or condone include, but aren’t limited to, paying for the following items: additional usage and late fees, delivery, deposits, Extras, reimbursements for incidental costs, trip costs, trip extensions, vehicle protection.

Payment outside of Resortifi includes, but isn’t limited to, PayPal, cash, check, credit card, Square, Bitcoin, Venmo, or any other payment method.

Violations

When payments are made outside of Resortifi, it limits our ability to monitor transactions and possibly assist in a dispute, no-show, or trip issue. Without proof of payment through our marketplace, we can’t protect you from fraud, such as being double charged for incidental costs.

If you request to make payments to your host outside of Resortifi, we may restrict your account and, in some cases, remove you from Resortifi.

Hosts can make cash payment or reimbursement to guests for:

  • Paid parking at a vehicle pick-up location

Guests can make cash payment or reimbursement to hosts for:

  • Claims damage resolved outside of Resortifi
  • Damaged Extra
