Material misrepresentation

This policy addresses Resortifi’s rules against host actions taken to benefit from the submission of false information.

Policy

Hosts may not submit false or misleading information to try to get coverage for vehicle damage, smoking or cleaning claims, or reimbursement for incidental requests excluded under our Terms of Service or protection plan policies

Examples of material misrepresentation

  • Submitting damage claims for pre-existing damage
  • Altering any damage to cause the damage to be larger than our limitations for wear and tear
  • Altering any photos to cause the damage to appear to be larger than wear and tear
  • Submitting falsified, inaccurate, fake, or staged photographs, documentation, estimates, receipts, or invoices
  • Altering invoices, receipts, or documentation for damage claims or reimbursement requests.
  • Submitting recycled or reused invoices, documentation, or photographs for reimbursement or incidental requests

Violations

We charge a violation fee minimum of $200 up to a maximum of $2,000 for material misrepresentation. If we’re unable to verify the validity of information you submit for claims for reimbursement processing, you may be subject to this fee.
