Booking a car

Learn the requirements for booking a car in regions where Resortifi operates.

General requirements for booking a car

  • You must have a Resortifi account to book a car. If you don’t have one, sign up now with any of the following: an email address, Facebook account, Google account, or Apple ID. You’ll need to enter your SMS-enabled mobile phone number to complete account setup.
  • You must meet our age requirements.
  • For first-time guests, we’ll ask for your:
    • driver’s license number and expiration date
    • home address
    • payment method
    • photo of yourself for your Resortifi profile
  • We may ask for additional photos and/or we may check your personal and/or business credit report, auto insurance score, and criminal background to verify your account. When you create an account, you give Resortifi written instructions and permission in line with the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws to obtain this information

Note: If you enter the same information (e.g, email address, driver’s license number, etc), as any other Resortifi user when creating your account or requesting a trip, you won’t be able to book.

Note: Resortifi has the right to decline your trip request and remove you from the platform because of your auto insurance score, criminal background, driving record, or any other reason. If we deny you access to Resortifi, find out whether you can resolve your problem booking a car.

US additional requirements for booking

In addition to the general requirements listed above, you must meet these specific requirements to book a car in the US:

  • Auto insurance score that meets our benchmark
  • Valid permanent license or an acceptable temporary license

Australia additional requirements for booking

In addition to the general requirements listed above, you must meet these specific requirements to book a car in Australia:

  • Valid full licence; no provisional or conditional licences accepted
  • Licence has not been re-issued under any probationary restrictions following recent disqualification from a court

Canada additional requirements for booking

In addition to the general requirements listed above, you must meet these specific requirements to book a car in Canada:

  • Valid permanent licence or an acceptable temporary licence
  • Valid passport if your licence was issued in another country
  • Auto insurance score that meets our benchmark
  • Proof you’ve been driving for at least two years if you’re under age 25

France additional requirements for booking

In addition to the general requirements listed above, you must meet these specific requirements to book a car in France:

  • Valid full license; no provisional or conditional licenses accepted
  • Have a license that’s from inside the EU or written in French. Guests who don’t have such a license must provide an international driver’s permit or an official French translation, as well as a valid driver’s license issued in their country of residence
  • Exception for guests from the UK who can use their country license for short trips

UK additional requirements for booking

In addition to the general requirements listed above, you must meet these specific requirements to book a car in the UK:

  • Valid full licence; no provisional or conditional licences accepted
  • Valid passport if your licence was issued in another country
  • Have held a full driver’s licence for at least two years*
  • Have been accident-free for the past 3 years
  • Under age 25, you can only book cars identified as Group 1-16 vehicles by the Association of British Insurers

*Note: Provisional and temporary licences do not contribute towards the two-year requirement.
