Wear and tear

Coverage for exterior wear and tear is available to some hosts in the US and Australia.

Eligibility

US hosts

For eligible vehicles under the 60 plan, Resortifi is responsible for reimbursing exterior wear and tear costs for confirmed, new physical damage that is less than 3” only. There’s no reimbursement for interior wear and tear.

Resortifi considers vehicles that have fewer than 24,000 miles AND are two years old or less, eligible for the wear and tear benefit and vehicles in the Super Deluxe class. Resortifi uses a third-party vehicle valuation vendor to determine the Total Market Value of vehicles listed on our platform, which determines vehicle class on the platform.

Australia hosts

Resortifi Travels Mutual provides reimbursement for exterior wear and tear for hosts in Australia who choose the 65 plan. and AU hosts who choose the 65 plan. There’s no reimbursement for interior wear and tear.

Exterior wear and tear

Exterior wear and tear is any dings, dents, cracks, or scratches to the vehicle's exterior body that are three inches (or seven and a half centimeters) in diameter or less. It includes but isn’t limited to, rims, wheels, hubcaps, any painted or textured area for the body of the vehicle, and moldings. It doesn’t include cracked or chipped glass caused by rocks or other debris.

Wear and tear damage must be tied to a guest trip. Guests aren’t responsible for wear and tear from normal vehicle use. Submit a report for wear and tear no more than 24 hours after the end of the trip that resulted in the discovery of the wear and tear.
