Roadside assistance
Help from our roadside assistance partners is available 24/7 * **. Allianz provides assistance for accidents and breakdowns, and ICE provides help with tyre issues. For assistance, call +44 808 164 1454 and select option three. Have your reservation number handy; you can find it in your confirmation email or on the Details page for your trip. Depending on the circumstances and service provided, you may be responsible for roadside service costs.
Vehicle drivable after accident/breakdown
If you’re involved in an accident or breakdown, and the vehicle is still safe to drive, contact your host to let them know about the incident. Then continue your trip and report any damage within 24 hours from the time of the incident. Use our damage reporting centre to file your report.
Vehicle not drivable after accident/breakdown
If you’re involved in an accident or breakdown and the vehicle is unsafe to drive, contact your host to let them know. Then call +44 808 164 1454 and select option three. One of our roadside partners will try to fix the vehicle so it’s operational. If they can’t, they’ll tow the vehicle and any luggage or cargo to your host’s preferred garage within 100 miles. If we’re unable to reach your host, Allianz Partners will tow the vehicle to the nearest garage or secure storage unit.
Note: If another vehicle is involved in the accident, record their full name, address, contact information, vehicle registration number, and insurance provider information. Take photos of the other vehicle and the damage and get the contact information of any witnesses.
Roadside service locations
Roadside assistance is available in the UK, including Northern Ireland. Assistance is also available in Europe for mechanical issues and breakdowns, excluding tyres.
Responsibility for service
Your host is responsible if you need service because their vehicle was mechanically unsound or improperly maintained. Note: If you plan to drive in Europe, you must contact your host via Resortifi messaging and get their approval to do so. They must ensure that their vehicle is capable of making the trip.
You’re responsible if you need service because of carelessness, abuse, a violation of Resortifi policy, or if you’re found at fault for a roadside incident. You may also be responsible for any damages. If you get a flat tyre on your trip, we may charge you the cost to repair or replace the tyre if we find the host wasn’t at fault for the flat. Flats caused by accidents or vandalism are unfortunate, but they’re the guest’s responsibility. Read more about flat tyre charges.
Responsibility for the vehicle and keys
If you’re waiting for roadside assistance, stay with the vehicle. If it’s in an unsafe location, stay somewhere nearby and keep it in sight. You’re responsible for the vehicle until roadside assistance arrives. You can’t leave the keys in the vehicle and abandon it. If you do so, you may be charged a negligence fee of £120. Once roadside services arrive, you can hand over the keys. You’ll be responsible for all costs if the keys or vehicle are damaged or go missing. If you’ve turned on the vehicle headlights as a safety measure and abandoned the vehicle, we’ll pass the cost of the service/tow onto you.
Onward travel
If the vehicle needs to be towed and you can’t wait for the repair or the vehicle can’t be repaired at that time, Allianz will be able to discuss onward travel options with you.
Restrictions
Roadside assistance coverage does not apply if you:
